PERDIZ SHOOTING RANGE

WHAT IS SPORTING CLAYS?
Sporting clays is the closest thing to actual field shooting of all shotgun sports. Sporting clays can be as competitive as you want it to be; you can shoot against your buddies, or you can shoot in competition.

The PERDIZ SPORT SHOOTING COURSE is located 2 miles south of the historic town of Eureka, Nevada, in the Windfall Canyon below the majestic Prospect Peak.

The course is designed so that each shooting station simulates a certain species of game. A short walk from one point to another may provide shooting at incoming kamikaze chukkar, pass shooting at huns on the horizon, or the "wabbit" breaking from cover flushing the "wooster".

FORBES magazine once described sporting clays as "golfing with a shotgun".

HOW MANY TARGETS WILL I SHOOT AT?
This fully automated course has 10 stations with 5 rounds at each station for a total of 50 rounds. For our tournaments we present a whole new look for a total of 100 rounds per day.

ARE SPORTING CLAYS SHOOTERS ALL EXPERTS?
Not at all. You will find a cross section of men, women and children. Anyone who is physically and mentally able to shoot and follow rules is welcomed to PERDIZ. Some shooters shoot from wheel chairs. The only common denominator in sporting clays is that the shooters believe in the safe handling of guns, take pride in their shooting, and enjoy competing with others and themselves.

HOW SAFE IS SPORTING CLAYS FOR BEGINNERS?
This shooting club is affiliated with the National Rifle Association and the National Sporting Clays Association. This range is an excellent and safe course to learn shotgunning. PERDIZ SPORT SHOOTING enforces rigid safety regulations at all times for your protection and the safety of others.

WHAT ABOUT TRAP, SKEET AND FIVE STAND SHOOTING?
This course has two regulation trap houses. One of the fields has a five stand sporting range. There is also a regulation skeet field, a rifle/pistol range, and an archery range, to challenge your skills.
