EUREKA OPERA HOUSE (1879)

Built in 1879, Eureka, Nevada is proud to have one of the two best restored and usable Opera Houses in Nevada. It is one of two theatres with a horseshoe shaped balcony in the state.  The other is Piper’s Opera House in Virginia City.  The Eureka Opera House was built on the ashes of the old Odd Fellows Hall which was destroyed by the fire of 1879. The Opera House currently hosts music and community events. The Opera House is open Tuesday - Saturday for tours.
